Having Katsuya five minutes away from your apartment is both a blessing and a curse. You know how when you were younger and your mom would tell you to eat your vegetables and you reluctantly agreed, but then she gave you brussels sprouts and then you really wanted to just throw your plate on the ground? Well Katsuya has done something amazing and created the most magically addictive Brussels sprout dish. While many people go to Katsuya for their sushi, I go to Katsuya for their Brussels sprouts and their miso cod. If I was stranded on an island these are probably two of the dishes I would take with me. Other notable dishes at Katsuya have to be the spicy tuna and crispy rice (not pictured) and the spicy rock shrimp. While Katsuya can be quite expensive, as most high quality sushi is, USC students get a pretty nice 15% discount making the high prices very reasonable.
