On my way home from San Francisco I stopped in Montecito for a late lunch at The Honor Bar. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees and the restaurant had outdoor seating for my dog. The menu is short and balanced with various salads, sandwiches, and small bites. To begin I had my favorite deviled eggs, creamy in texture and tangy in taste with a small crunch throughout from diced pickles. For lunch I had the vegetable sandwhich and my Mom had the kale salad with chicken. The sandwhich came in three pieces and had multiple layers of tomato, lettuce, feta, avocado, and cucumber. One of the best features was the addition of mint which tied all of the layers together. This dish would be perfect to share for a light lunch. The kale salad was delicious as always, one of my favorites, however it needs to be double chopped because the chicken tends to get in the way. Overall I love this restaurant and can’t wait to try their Beverly Hills location!
