Republiqué

Whenever I post a picture on my food Instagram, I have the hope that someone will see the picture and be inspired and venture to the restaurant upon my review. Personally I love and am quite obsessed when a restaurant has good social media, especially Instagram, so I can then see their best dishes and be inspired myself. I have found that Republiqué has, not only one of the best social media games, but some of the most delicious and innovative food in Los Angeles.

Stemming from my relentless stalking of their Instagram, I decided to order the famed delicacy Uni toast. I have previously tried uni and did not enjoy it, however, this Uni toast was so creamy and salty atop a perfectly crunchy and soft in the center crostini. I ate the majority of that plate and later indulged in the Ahi tuna toast, a simple fresh green salad, and Crispy skin seabass. The next highlights of our meal concluded with the amazing crispy Brussel’s Sprouts, which in the middle, had a perfectly poached egg, as well as the Pumpkin anglonotti. This anglonotti brought me back in time to Italy when my mother and I randomly stepped into a literal hole in the wall restaurant, it seemed to be carved into the wall, and had the most decadent pumpkin ravioli with a brown butter sage sauce and crispy fried sage leave atop. Our meal was picture perfect and ended up being more delicious than it looked on Instagram. The vibe of restaurant provided further praise, as everyone was very trendy and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to Republiqué and maybe next time to try their delicious brunch!
