While researching brunch spots with seating in a courtyard, I stopped upon Ledlow. This French restaurant had the indulgent eats and atmosphere. The menu was decadent and thus I ordered with my eyes and not my stomach, a typical occurrence. Some of the musts, crumpets with jam and butter, flaky and warm, straight out of the oven. The crab cake benedict had an insanely creamy hollandaise with a perfectly poached gooey egg to blend the sauce. The brussels sprouts salad added a touch of vinegar and some greens to this insane meal, crunchy with apples and walnuts. Lastly, the avocado toast, which I typically would not like topped with capers and tarragon, however, the chef clearly put each ingredient together with thought and I enjoyed it. Overall, I can’t wait to go back to this French bistro, and eat what is left of the menu and perhaps have a cocktail with my friends!
