You’ve ended up near The Grove, but you don’t want to get stuck eating at one of the mediocre tourist traps located within the extremely trafficked area, so you end up at Ysabel. You are shocked that there is free parking alongside the hidden restaurant, and as you walk through the covered tunnel, you are surprised to find an airy trendy decorated restaurant and bar. While the service was subpar, and the waiters inattentive, the food was generously portioned, well-plated, and unequivocally tasty!
My favorite dish was the Spicy Fried Rice with a poached egg, alongside a spicy Bloody Mary! The pancakes were fluffy, the Quinoa Bowl was wholesome, and the bacon crisped to perfection. I will be back again, for drinks next time, hopeful for better service and consistent flavors.
